Version 4.0 Preview of Egress is released

A "Preview" of Egress version 4.0 has been released for both PocketPCs and SmartPhones. This version adds many new features along with a redesigned user-interface. On touchscreen devices you may now scroll the screen by dragging vertically and you can change to the next and previous channels by dragging right and left.

Please let me know how this version works for you as I will be refreshing it frequently to get ready for the 4.0.0 release. Also, please pass any suggestions for future development.

The "dry" change list is as follows:

* If Auto Connect is not set and user requests caching of web content or enclosure, request will be added to caching queue. When connection is established, either updating channels or manually restarting queue will cause content to be cached

* Fixed bug where launching enclosures would sometimes fail (with no error message)

* Clicking on an item will only toggle expansion if the stylus is positioned on the item's "header" (Title, timestamp, etc). This will allow the double-tap of an already expanded item to launch the content within the web browser

* Enclosure menu "View enclosure" choice changed to "Launch enclosure"

* The caching of images within items can now be disabled on the Storage panel of the Options dialog for users wishing to reduce network traffic
